Speaker 1:

Hi, hi, welcome to the Human Design for Marketing podcast. I'm your host, yvette Mayer, and this shows for you if you're done with cookie cutter marketing and ready to build your personal brand in alignment with who you really are. I'm a marketing expert, human design nerd and intuitive business coach who's helped hundreds of women just like you to elevate their frequency and activate their most magnetic personal brand. Each week we'll dive into practical tips, interviews, conversations and more to help you create and align business, a positive contribution and, of course, an abundant life. Let's dive in and welcome back to the Human Design for Marketing podcast. This is an extra special episode that I happen to be recording in the Hamptons. Yes, I'm talking about the US of A and New York. The Hamptons are very near and dear to me, having lived in New York City and appreciating the need to escape what is a very oppressive heat in summer. And, in particular, I love Montauk, which is at the very end of the Hamptons Peninsula and, in days gone by, was like the blue collar fishing village or surfer hangout type place. But over the last 10 years, even since I've been coming here, has morphed into something of a haven for influences and younger folk, shall we say, and a lot of my friends that are New York based, are like it's not the same, it's not what it used to be, but I absolutely just vibe with this place and I love a little bit of playing in the luxe, and so there's no part of me that is disappointed in the evolution of Montauk. I love it every bit as much as I did when I lived in New York, and I especially appreciate the number of celebrities that I always see here, including on this trip, which I'll get into in a moment. So, on today's episode, I'm going to be covering, firstly, why I am here, which is a cool business story for you, and, yes, I'll be weaving in some human design chat on that and then I'm going to talk to you about maximizing your energy and share a tool with you that I take my clients through regularly, because it's just a game changer, to make sure that you're focusing on the work that is in full alignment with you, that brings you a sense of purpose, fulfillment that allows you to operate in your genius zone. It's very, very simple, but let's be honest, I'm on holidays, so I want to keep this episode short, simple, to the point, because I promised you weekly episodes and, even though I'm slightly resistant to record on holidays, I am somebody who delivers on their promises and, by the way, by the way, I did record five episodes for you and I had intended to record this one as well before I left for this trip and I just ran out of time. I ran out of steam. All the things were happening as I get up to jet off, but now I'm here.

Speaker 1:

I'm here, and whilst this trip has been largely vacation, it has also featured an incredible three day VIP retreat with my awesome client, trisha, who I referred to on the last episode and who I am going to get on to share with you. I want to share her with you. She has so much wisdom, lots of experience in working with me and applying human design for marketing, as well as just such a savviness about how she markets her incredible business. There's so much, so much in that, okay. So, as I said, first thing I'm going to share is why I'm here, and then I'm going to get into how that's relevant to you, and I am going to be talking about energy and upping your frequency, which is, you know this, one of my favorite topics, as well as how you can look at your business and the way that you apply your attention and focus for maximum results, outcomes and success in a very simple, simple exercise. So the first part is why I am here and, yes, why I'm here is partly because I love it here so much.

Speaker 1:

But to wind back, this experience, this exact moment in time, is a dream come true. It is something that, when I set my sights on extracting myself from corporate and building a life that was more on purpose and doing work that was more fulfilling and that created a positive impact, I had these. What I thought at the time were like wild imaginations, dreams about what life could be. So I'm living in New York City and I'm working around the clock as a corporate executive and I'm constantly in meetings where I'm acting highly engaged but feeling out of alignment, and that what I'm doing with my time is not making the world a better place. And I'm daydreaming right, I'm daydreaming about how I want to have this let's call it laptop lifestyle, where I'm able to be in my favorite places in the world and working, operating more nomadically.

Speaker 1:

But I really didn't. I don't know if I believed that I could actually do this, and so I kept second guessing myself and staying in the corporate environment for many, many years after I lost my enthusiasm, shall we say, for what I was doing. I just couldn't get my head around the how, like I could see other people that were doing or were having experiences similar to what I desired, and they were at the time. Because, like, let's be honest, this is going back to like 2012, when the big thing for online business was blogging and, I think, the world of online coaching, business coaching was very much in its infancy. There was, you know, obviously, that existed offline, but online, like the course creation world, the model that I live with and enjoy today it wasn't expressed, it hadn't exploded, there weren't a lot of examples of it happening, and so I had all this desire to do what I'm doing now, but no real understanding of what that could look like, and I want to call this out Okay, I am a generator. I also have open centres everywhere outside of my G centre and my sacral.

Speaker 1:

I am not somebody who is going to be able to see the future in a way and create and innovate, so I need things to respond to. Therefore, if I'm not seeing somebody else with the business model that stimulates this kind of wow, that feels right, that feels aligned, that feels like the thing for me, then I don't have something to respond to. I'm not clear, I'm going to be floundering. And if you're a generator, maybe if you're a manifesting generator depending on whether you have the 3420 or not, for most types, this whole, like innovating from nothing, being the one to go first, is not a natural state. It is, however, a natural state for a manifester, and I have absolutely struggled until human design with this.

Speaker 1:

What I thought was a lack of creativity. It's BS. I don't have a lack of creativity. I require stimulus to expand. I need to have something to build on. Sitting around trying to magic up and create from a place of let's just get quiet and tap into what I really could Imagine, it doesn't work for me. I need that stimulus first, so sure I can have a like dream of. I want the freedom, I want to feel lit up. I desire to make a positive impact. All of that, yeah, sure, I knew I wanted all of that, but the how, the how Not so much.

Speaker 1:

Now I did buy my very first online course. So, yeah, they sure did exist back then. My very first online course I bought was about blogging, but I don't know what it was. It just didn't click with me. I didn't. I was blogging but I didn't apply it. I didn't give it, maybe, enough attention at the time. It didn't feel like the thing for me, so I kept on in the corporate job.

Speaker 1:

But if you talk to any of my close social circle, especially those that were around me whilst I lived in New York and was fully exploring how am I going to leave corporate and that was when I did health coaching and that's when I studied yoga teacher training they will tell you that I was constantly talking about how, in the future, I would have this life where I'd be able to work from anywhere and I'd be able to spend time in New York City as well as in Sydney and other favorite places of mine, aka Byron Bay, bali, tulum in Mexico. And they all thought, ha ha ha, funny, funny, funny. No, maybe they, maybe they believed in me more than I did. I must ask, actually, because I know for sure today they're like oh, my freaking goodness, she's doing it. She's doing everything she ever said she would do and she's getting exactly what she wanted.

Speaker 1:

And right now, like I have had so many moments on this trip, especially in retreat with Trisha, where, like, there's been literal tears of happiness and an overwhelming feeling of I did it. I actually did exactly what I dreamed of, and here I am and I can't believe how incredible it feels. I have all of these things now. I have the fulfillment. I live my life on purpose. I'm incredibly lit up, I'm doing work that has a profound impact on other women's lives and creating a better experience for others, but also growing into more and more of a role model for the possibility for every one of us, and I'm especially talking to you if you're an older woman, if you're over 35, if you're over 50, and you don't have a lot of role models that are creating a life on their terms. You know, I dreamed of this life, this level of impact, and here I am. So that's part of why I'm here, because I dreamed it, and I believe that if you have a dream, if you have a desire on your heart that it's there for a reason, it's like a download from the universe that it's yours to create. So never, never, do what I did and think this is a dream. I'm not sure it's possible. Your dreams are possible and and I know for sure now that all of my dreams are possible, and I am intending to make all of them come true. Now let's get specific into this trip and why this trip was made possible.

Speaker 1:

So, winding back to the end of last year, I'd very recently started to integrate human design for marketing into my work and I'd begun to feel this elevated sense of opportunity, expansiveness, confidence, worthiness. I was in a very, very good place and I was marketing and bringing in clients into the momentum mastermind, which is my signature high-level, high-touch mastermind for women that have a huge ambition to create an impact, to be in alignment with their souls, purpose and become more and more abundant. And I was working with my current masterminders around them coming back, one of whom is Trisha, and I had this intuitive hit that it would be amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing to meet Trisha in person, who, at the time, I've been working with already for two and a half years, and so for her to join my mastermind and commit for another year it would mean committing to us working together for three and a half years she is my most long-standing client. Like I began working with Trisha when I'd been officially niched into business coaching for just a few months, and look. Her journey has been absolutely phenomenal. We're not going to talk about that now because, as I said, I'm going to get her on, but the idea came to me the wild, not-so-crazy idea that how about I create an incentive for Trisha and actually anyone that signs on at the VIP level in my mastermind, which includes one-on-one coaching and access to me through voice messaging for an entire year, the incentive of I will travel to you and create a one-on-one or small depending on where you are in the world retreat experience. That is absolutely luxe, incredibly robust, around mind, body, soul, unlocking and unleashing more and more of your potential when you commit to the full year mastermind experience and pay in full upfront.

Speaker 1:

Now, trisha did not hesitate, she was like yes, and she has admitted she was a yes even beforehand. But that's by the way. Trisha said yes. Trisha said hell yes, in fact, and we've both been so excited for this because it's been years, like we've already worked together for three, four years now and we've never met in person because she's in the US, she's based in North Carolina and I'm, of course, south of Sydney, like two hour and a half hours south of Sydney, like we're on the opposite sides of the world from each other, but one thing we share is a love of travel, so this was always going to be about me creating an experience that was easy for Trisha to get to, but that involved her travelling and doing something fun and exciting whilst I came up with the ultimate agenda.

Speaker 1:

Now, as part of this, knowing that a trip to New York is a lot, energetically, I also had to become very intentional about my plan for the mastermind for 2023, factoring in a two week break, and I'd already kind of loosely planned for this idea of me having a mid year break, which I've never had before, since I have had my own business where I was not being nomadic but actually having a holiday, which, look, I know many of us that have online businesses can relate to this always being on thing, and for me personally, I'm pretty good between that holiday period at the end of the year Christmas. We celebrate Christmas in Australia. I know not all religions do, but for most of the world, I think we have a holiday towards the end of December and into the new year. Always been pretty good at switching off them, but that's it. I'm on.

Speaker 1:

Like every time you've seen me travelling over the last five years, I have been working full time whilst I travel. So with this trip, I very intentionally created my mastermind container to have two five month bursts, with a gap of two weeks in the middle of the year, so that I could be properly rested and enjoy being back in New York and seeing all of my beautiful friends on the other side of the world whilst supporting Trisha in this experience. So it was carefully and intentionally created, affecting every aspect of my business actually. So it affected what I've sold this year. It has influenced how, as I said, my mastermind is structured. It meant even a greater commitment to ensuring I didn't just have a team in place, but support that would be able to keep the business running whilst I was largely out for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1:

So so many things and I have to say I'm just so incredibly proud of myself, can I say that? But I am. I'm so proud of myself because I made this happen. I made this happen and you can do this for yourself too. It is about being intentional. It's important that you know what you're dreaming of and that you tell yourself that you can have exactly what you're dreaming of and you take action from this place. Now that I'm here.

Speaker 1:

I am even more excited for travel experiences and events being a part of my business as I go forward, and I also have the evidence that my business has grown whilst I've been away, that I can take time out and trust that my impact will not diminish or I won't lose time. In fact, since I've been away, I have had multiple thousand dollars in brand new sales come through the business. My audience has grown across every single channel. I've had numerous people join weightless the frequency project. By the way, if you're not on that weight list, get yourself on there, because it's happening, it is so happening, and I've even had a couple of newbies join the momentum mastermind weight list whilst I'm here on the other side of the world. So it's working for me to be in this high vibration I have.

Speaker 1:

I haven't really done any work outside of the retreat with Trisha, but I have certainly been sharing what I'm up to in my Instagram stories. I pray, of course I launch the podcast while I was away. Well then, my incredible virtual marketing assistant did a lot of the heavy lifting in my, in my travels. She's, you know, she's back there, putting all of the Assets together, making sure everything launches on time, promoting the podcast. It's taken a lot of effort, to be honest, to get to this point, but I am here now and it is fricken amazing. Oh, and one more thing my business model is built about around having a healthy level of monthly recurring revenue, so there is no dip in my income because I'm out at this time of year. In fact, it's rock solid and in growth mode.

Speaker 1:

Yes, this is possible for you as well, but, as I said, intentionality, strategy, alignment these things are all incredibly important. Now, before I move on to what this can look like for you or how you get clear on what, what you're creating, where you're going towards, I did want to give you a little insight into the kinds of things that Trisha and I did together. So, as I said earlier, I we had a three day retreat. She left last night, so I was a bit sad to spend time on my own again because we were, we just we get on so well, we're so connected with so close at this point, which also means I'm very able to intuit what is going to be Nurturing and expansive for her. So, over the three days that I crafted and curated, it was very much a full mind, body, soul experience.

Speaker 1:

We are staying in a Luxe boutique resort that has one of the most famous restaurants at its it's kind of like positioned as a restaurant, but with this boutique hotel, it is on the water. It is stunning. It's so stunning. It's also a short bike ride to the best beach in Montauk, in my opinion. And whilst we've been here, we have okay, let's just give you some highlights. We've been to an incredible yoga class. That was. Trisha wanted more challenging yoga, so I was going to teach, but we decided to go to a more advanced power yoga class, which was just so amazing, so amazing. We have eaten out at the best restaurants. We've ridden bikes to the lighthouse and back. We've done beach long beach walks. Trisha paddle boarded for the first time in her life. So, when it comes to body, all of these things have have been on the agenda. We definitely both saw by the end of the three days, that's for sure.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about soul. Well, yeah, some of these things are really good for the soul as well. But there's also been meditation. We've done Self hypnosis. I had Trisha. After we did some setting of intentions and goals. I let a very grounding Meditation, guided meditation, around, really anchoring in those intentions and goals, getting the feet on the grass, being grounded, lots of opportunities for just breathing and heart expansion. So you know just so many things as well. As both of us love sunset, so factoring in the most incredible sunset experience and then, when it gets to the mind again, body and soul generates the mind into a place of expansiveness and higher vibration and higher frequency.

Speaker 1:

However, we also did some beautiful work. I led Trisha through the Perl sequence, which is part of the gene keys. It's the third sequence that Richard Rutt has created. That is all about unlocking more prosperity and I've done this myself a couple of times. I have found it to be quite liberating around the potential inside of me and where my energy and attention is best focused. And the and part of the reason for doing this was and it was Kind of the morning session of the big work day that we had was to get Trisha into new ways of thinking about what's possible for her, and it did absolutely illuminate some different ways of approaching some of her bigger goals and dreams and how to make that a reality, and in a bigger and more imaginative, bolder way than she had explored in the past. And we both really loved when we got to Trisha's Perl, which is kind of at the end of the sequence and it and it is as you, as you think about a Perl it's like Getting right into the real genius or the real beauty inside of Trisha.

Speaker 1:

And it's all about intuition, which we both loved, because this is such a huge part of Trisha as a human. Fun fact, it was even her word for the year last year intuition, intuition, intuition. She's also a splenic manifesto, so having the spleen defined tends to create a level of high intuition. So you have your spleen defined. That is in you as well. Then, of course, we got into the business planning setting strategies and getting a lot of action orientation into the next six months and, in particular, into the next three months. Now Trisha is somebody who, what she says she's going to do, she does, and I'm not just talking about actually the doing, but creating the outcomes as well. So it's also very inspiring and very instructive for her, as a manifesto, to go through this process and to continually come back to it and celebrate her successes along the way. So, as you can see, it was a very beautiful, beautiful experience. We are both left changed and more connected than ever before, and now you officially know why I am coming to you from Montauk in the Hamptons.

Speaker 1:

Okay, now we're going to switch gears into the tool I promised to share with you, which is all about maximising your energy and living a version of your life and business that is in full alignment with your purpose. Now, the reason that I'm sharing this specific tool is because it is so important for you to be in this higher frequency, which affects your magnetism and your ability to attract the right opportunities towards you. It is also going to help you have more fulfillment and a greater level of energy, and energy is high vibe. When you're feeling more vibrant, you are more magnetic and you attract more of what you desire. Now, it's pretty simple, but I do encourage you to pause this episode, if you can, if you're not driving, and get yourself a piece of paper and a pen If you are driving or you are out walking. Come back to this. Come back to this because it is simple and enormously effective.

Speaker 1:

What you're going to do is, on a blank sheet of paper, put a line down the centre and a line across the middle, so it's going to create a giant plus sign, looking at it in terms of what you've drawn, but it also creates four boxes on the page. Now I call this the lit up and liberated matrix, or four box, call it whatever you want. Okay, so you've got the four boxes. Now what you're going to do is and I know we're not all generators, but just bear with me at the top of the middle line, the line running down the middle of the page, at the top, you're going to write lights me up, and at the very bottom you're going to light the words words drains me. And then the middle line to the left you're going to write the words less important, and to the far right the words moves my business forward. Okay, so now you have your four boxes. So the four boxes are going to have these names.

Speaker 1:

The top right is going to say genius zone, genius zone, this is the box we want to spend most of our time in. The bottom right is going to say important. The top left is going to say treat myself. And the bottom left delete. You got me. Now the next thing you're going to do is you're going to write down a list of all of the tasks that you do in your business every week. Now, some of them you'll do less regularly, but it's important that you list all of the things and from there you're going to plot each of those things on the matrix or on the four box, and what you're going to discover is where your work, the things that you're spending your time on, are falling right now. Now, this is hugely valuable in you optimizing your energy towards the things that both give you a high frequency and move your business forward. Now, as I said earlier, you want to be spending 80 90% of your working hours in your genius zone. Now this is going to get more and more possible the bigger your business is, because then you're more able to afford to outsource.

Speaker 1:

The next most important area, of course, is the bottom right, where you have tasks that simply must get done. They're very important to moving the business forward, but they're not necessarily things that you want to be doing yourself. So the plan and the goal is to, over time, delegate every single thing in that box, or as much as possible. Now, if it is a task that only you can do, then there's an opportunity to change how you feel about it, to get clearer on why it's important and even, if possible, to set up new structures that make that task feel more lit up or more enjoyable. Now we're going to move to the top left hand side.

Speaker 1:

These are things that you really love doing, that aren't as important. So these things are, you want to do them. You actually really want to do them, but what I like to do here is reward myself for doing things in the bottom right with doing something in the top left afterwards. So if you're planning out your day, it's a hugely beautiful thing to do to factor in where you're going to have to do the work that's important but doesn't necessarily feel amazing for you, and follow it up with something that is quite the opposite. That is going to be like, yeah, I love doing this work and it gives you that reward, and it's another way that you can start to feel better about doing the things that are less in your genius zone but simply must get done. Now, of course, that just leaves you with the bottom left Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go. If it's not moving your business forward, if you don't love doing it, then, my friend, stop doing it.

Speaker 1:

I know this can be really hard because we fall into this kind of trap of should I should do this, and this box really is the things that you tell yourself you should do or you should get done, and it's simply not true. It's not true. What is true is the more time you spend in your genius zone, the faster your business is going to grow. And here's why I decided to share this in this particular episode, because I want you to put into that top right box things like hosting luxury retreats with my VIP clients and, yes, that is very individual to me, although I kind of think, highly desirable for most, but you do, you.

Speaker 1:

What is it that is going to be both in your genius zone, something that you feel so lit up by if you're a generator type, or that makes you feel so successful if you're a projector, or or, or Maybe it brings you a sense of enormous peace If you're a manifesto? You get my drift. If you had any challenges at all in interpreting, understanding, etc. What I've been saying, please let me know in my Instagram DM at event may underscore is my Instagram handle, and I will 100% send you the actual template to do this. I would be more than happy to share it with you. And that brings me to the end of this episode recorded for you from beautiful Montauk it is 922 am here on my final day in Montauk. I'm about to head back to New York City, or at least that's what I'm doing this evening, but for now it's off to the beautiful resort breakfast followed by a day at the beach. I'm back in holiday mode. This episode is being popped through to my incredible VA and we'll be with you within the next couple of days and I will be back in the work seat next week and I am looking forward to that after I finish my incredible vacation.
